We worked with Google and the news industry to help journalism thrive in the digital age. Specifically we partnered with Google's Doubleclick and YouTube teams to help build the YouTube Player for Publishers from scratch and drive its adoption across worldwide news organizations. This meant working around the clock with engineers, product managers, operations, lawyers, business development execs and YouTube's CEO (Susan Wojcicki) and Chief Business Officer (Robert Kyncl) to find creative solutions to countless technical and commercial issues in order to build a version of the YouTube player meeting the news industry's content distribution and monetization needs.
This project helped shift the mindset of major news organisations with regards to Google.
